Roles and Responsibilities of a Leading SAFe® professional: 

The roles of a SAFe® professional range over four levels of an organisation. 

  1. Team Level 

A SAFe® Agilist coordinates all the team-level activities and are responsible for all the professionals at this level, like the Development Team (testers, developers, specialists etc 
), Product Owner, and the Scrum Master. They synchronise the smooth communication between these various teams.  

  1. Program Level 

At the program level, a Leading SAFe® professional is responsible for the team’s undeterred focus on the project goal and helping Agile Release Trains (ARTs) with the required governance. Agile Release Trains refers to a team of Agile teams which provide solutions in a value stream. The team includes System Engineer, Product Management, Release Train Engineer, and Business Owner. 

  1. Large Solution Level 

A SAFe® Agilist’s role at this level is to provide the necessary governance to facilitate communication between various suppliers and ARTs. They are responsible for Solution Architects, Solution Management, Solution Train Engineer, Supplier, and the Customer. 

  1. Portfolio Level: 

The responsibilities of a Leading SAFe® professional at the Portfolio level is to coordinate Lean-Portfolio Management between Epic Owners and Enterprise Architect and provide the highest level of governance.
