Having trouble sleeping? You are not alone. At least 30% of people do not get enough sleep and this has only gotten worse over the last year with all the anxiety from the pandemic. We have been forced to limit our human interaction, many people have lost their jobs or have had their income significantly reduced coupled with the fear of getting sick. There is lots to worry about! This is why so many articles or blogs have been published about ways to help sleep. However, as much as many of these tactics have helped, things have gotten so hard for me that I needed to resort to something a bit stronger – sleeping tablets. In this post, I wanted to share with you the best sleeping tablets I have found that really do work.

Sleep is the foundation to a healthy life – it helps with: our immunity, long and short term memory, long and short term risk of disease, energy levels to name just a few very important things! Sleep should be our priority to help with all other aspects of our life. Many of our problems or ailments could be improved by just getting a good night’s sleep. This is why I have become more concerned with helping myself get better sleep, but in a natural way.

I had tried all the natural sleep remedies that people had suggested online – from herbal teas to meditation – but I needed something stronger. After doing some digging, I realised that there was such a thing as a natural sleeping tablet. I had always thought that a sleeping tablet was the same as a sleeping pill. And, sleeping pills always scared me – they seemed incredibly (/too) strong and I had heard they one often become addicted to them. So whilst they did knock you out fast (which is what I wanted), they did not leave you feeling great in the morning and were not that great for your body (which I didn’t want).

However, these days there are many more natural sleeping tablets you can pick from. What do I mean by a natural sleeping tablet? They are basically a supplement like you’d take during the day, but to help with sleep.  This makes total sense as why wouldn’t we take a supplement to enhance something we spend half of our life doing, and which, quite frankly, is when some of our most important body and brain functions take place.

After much searching, I think the best natural sleeping tablets in the UK were the Paso Sleep Capsules. They advertise them as a daily vitamin, but for sleep! This was a huge draw for me as it felt like I was just helping my body do what it already does naturally, but just a bit better. Their sleeping tablets are available online and contain specific ingredients to help with each stage of the sleep cycle – calming ingredients such as chamomile extract and lemon balm to help you relax before bed and then natural sources of GABA and melatonin to help regulate your sleep and to sleep more deeply. You take one or two nights an hour before bed. Again, they are not sleeping pills so they don’t instantly knock you out. They work to enhance and optimise your body’s natural sleep processes. As such, Paso advises you to see how you feel a few weeks after taking them once your body has acclimated to them. For me, after just two weeks I found I was waking up feeling a lot more refreshed having had many more vivid dreams!

Try them and let me know what you think or if you have any other suggestions for sleeping tablets to buy online in the UK!
