Ravi Bishnoi (born 5 September 2000) is an Indian cricketer. He plays for Rajasthan in domestic cricket and also paly for Kings XI Punjab from the Indian Premier League. He played for India at the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and finished as the tournament’s greatest wicket-taker.

Ravi Bishnoi Early life

Ravi Bishnoi was born and raised in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Due to the lack of cricket culture and facilities in West Rajasthan with his friends and with the support of 2 trainers built a cricket academy called Spartans Cricket Academy where they did all of the mason work because of financial issues so that he could train. He had been snubbed to the U-16 trials and to get the U-19 trial by the selectors prior to his trainers requested them to provide him another opportunity and eventually got selected to the U-19 Rajasthan squad. [4][5] Back in March 2018, he had been called up by Rajasthan Royals as a web bowler.

Ravi Bishnoi Domestic career

He left his Twenty20 introduction for Rajasthan from 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 21 February 2019. He left his List A introduction on 27 September 2019, for Rajasthan from 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy. In October 2019, he had been appointed in India A’s squad to its 2019–20 Deodhar Trophy.

Back in December 2019, from the 2020 IPL, he had been purchased by Kings XI Punjab before this 2020 Dream 11 Indian Premier League. On 20 September 2020, Bishnoi made his IPL introduction against Delhi Capitals and picked up Rishabh Pant because his eponymous wicket and ended with all the bowling figures 1/22 in four overs, but ended up on the losing side. Four days after, he picked up three wickets for 32 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore at a 97 run success.

Ravi Bishnoi International career

In December 2019, he had been appointed in India’s squad to its 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. About 21 January 2020, in India’s game against Japan, Bishnoi took four wickets without conceding a run, prior to completing his bout with four wickets for five runs from eight overs, with India winning by ten wickets, and he had been appointed the man of the game. He also finished the tournament as the major wicket-taker.
