VR is the new and next best thing which is coming onto our screens or we can also say that it is bringing its own screen. Though the technology has been commercially released recently but it has been in development for more than the past decade. And since it is new, the peripherals and software that are related to it are quite hot and expensive. Even the basic VR gear will put you behind several hundred dollars and if you are going in for quality then it would cost more. Though there is one relief, even if you use all your savings in getting the headset then you won’t have to worry much about the games. I cannot say for other software and computer programs but there are a lot of free games that you can get. If you want to invest and get some quality gaming experience then too there are lots paid ones as well. But no one would want to throw their money away and not get anything or low quality product in return. So in this article, I am going to share with you some of must try VR games in 2020. Have a look:

Must try these VR games in 2020

1.Iron Man VR

You love Marvel and Avengers? Then I am pretty sure that you love Iron Man too. This virtual reality game allows you to play as Tony Stark, the genius turned hero. Become part of avengers and save the world. The gameplay works similarly to the famous Head-Up Display screen of the Iron Man armor and with the help of headset and other equipment you can shoot lasers, energy blasts, missiles and what not. You will also see many other things which Iron Man has in the HUD like energy levels and other parameters. You can move around, throw punches, fly high in the sky, take down bad guys and enjoy your Tony Stark experience.

You can even customize your suit after you get back to the base, put on enhancements as you move through milestones, and so much more. You can do a free play or go in story mode. The only little issue here is that the story here is not canon but a totally different one. So if you are ready for adventure and experience a new story as Tony Stark then, Suit Up!

2. No Man’s Sky VR

This is a big game and if you are a fan of Star Trek or Star Wars then there is a great chance that you will end up loving it. In here you will have a big ship which will help you to explore the corners of the universe and galaxies that lie within it. You can discover new worlds, enter story mode and get immersed in this incredible world even if you are a seasoned gamer for more than 30 hours, go online and fight/socialize in multiplayer mode for survival and capturing more territories. This game can be played without VR equipment in normal mode as well but the graphics have been designed so well, we would suggest you to try VR with it. Regular updates increase features and many other elements in the universe for players to play continually. The game is quite closely knitted and has a lot for the player to go through. Even the cockpit is quite complex to fully discover, you can then build bases in different worlds, manage your fleet of ships, etc.

3. Pistol Whip

One of the best and most played VR games is Pistol Whip. It is also available on PC if you still haven’t purchased the VR gear. It is a first player shooting game and is quite simple if you are just looking at the game play. You can easily shoot your enemies and when you run out of bullets just point your guns at the ground to reload it. You can select the level of difficulty according to your expertise; there is also amazing background electronic music which captivates player’s attention, and so much more. As you move ahead in the game you will cross milestones, grab bags full of modifiers, different guns, and new elements.

The game is based on FPS and rhythm, the graphics have been made in abstract style rather than going for direct. Mixed with multiple gameplay modes like dual gun wielding, multiplayer, etc. this game may just be your next favourite.

4. Star Trek: Bridge Crew

And how can we complete the talks of space exploration without even mentioning the legendary epics. This is the best thing about virtual reality technology; you can experience being there in person. Like in Iron Man VR you were Tony Stark and in Star trek: Bridge Crew you can finally make your dream of being a part of Starfleet come true, but you know, virtually. But don’t let your smile turn to frown; this awesome game brings in a lot of features for you like opting for different roles. You can play this game from the viewpoint of multiple people and can also choose from different designations in the starfleet like Tactical Officer, Captain, Helm Officer, etc. and play according to the character.

The gameplay is rather not complex and you will have to do exactly what a person on a spaceship would do. You will have your own workstation according to the designation and this means that you will be working according to your role. This is a seated game and hence you will get much to move around but you can still explore, steer ship, go deep space, and contact others on the ship. If you want to experience the gameplay in its full glory then I would suggest that you should try Multiplayer mode. Crew members communicate with each other, fighting enemies, avoiding hurdles and other threats; this game offers an alluring experience that everyone should experience at least once.

5. Batman: Arkham VR

Arkham also known as the old Gotham City is famous for its infamous inmates and the big asylum. The game, without any delay, puts you in the shoes of suit ready Batman. Though Batman is very crime fighting, action packed and raw themed character unlike other superheroes, this game brings a twist to the set image and takes it to a more detective genre. If you don’t like games which only talk with fists and have no storyline then this is something that you will actually enjoy. Though you can patrol streets, ride Nightwing, enjoy your own batcave and the feel of being the only owner of big manor, this game has more theme to it than meets the eye. You can get out of the suit, be Bruce Wayne and carry on your detective side in some parts of the gameplay, teleport to many different spots in the game and much more. I will let you explore it and not give many spoilers.

6. Fallout 4 VR

If you loved Skyrim then you are going to love Fallout 4 too. The game is fully based on virtual reality technology and is best supported by HTC’s Vive headset and gear. The gameplay is quite simple, just keep following the story and you will get the hang of it. The protagonist starts in a world that has been left destroyed after an apocalypse. Now you have to find your way surviving through humans, animals, machines, creatures of all sorts and what not. The plot is based in Boston, where you are to find and hunt down one of the members of your family which has gone rogue. This is basically a seated game where you can move with the help of joy stick and other moving gear. You can also get up, turn, move around, interact with surroundings but that is quite limited. You can even transport yourself via teleportation channels in various but fixed positions on the map making it a mix of action and strategy.

7. LA Noire: The VR Case Files

L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files' Review – A Virtual Scavenger Hunt

This game, like the previous one is compatible with HTC Vive and one can experience the best gameplay with it. This is also a game whose genre is detective and in the plot you will be solving 7 complete cases, gathering clues, questioning suspects and trying to find if they are lying to your face or telling facts. It is similar to the original gameplay but with an added VR aspect. This game has been long famous for its realistic graphics, difficulty in finding hints, and complex cases. It has been more than 7 years since it was originally released but with updates and additions has kept this game going on for good. You will also need some space in your room so that you can move around, talk to people, pick and throw things, fight with characters, etc. Though only a 2 x 2 meters of space would be okay but I would suggest you to make more in case you get too much into the game.

So these were some of the best and must try VR games in 2020 that I wanted to suggest to you. A lot of VR games have been made to copy reality and hence they need some room space. You definitely don’t want to step on any cables or destroy your equipment. Hence, I would suggest you to make ample space and even move the furniture aside as you can also hurt yourself. Stay safe, play hard.

Hope this helps.
