How to Uninstall Edge Browser in Windows 10
Unlike other apps that you uninstall via the Apps & features link in your Settings, uninstalling Edge browser requires PowerShell. First, go to File Explorer on your PC and click on Local Disk (C:). After that, go to the Program Files (x86) folder and click on it, and find a folder named Microsoft on the list of folders that pop up. Next, open the Microsoft folder. In the list of folders that appear, find a folder named Edge and open it. Next, find the Application folder from the list of folders that appear on the screen of your PC. Open the folder and double-click on the folder with the version number of Edge. For instance, in my case, it is 87.0.664.75. Finally, click on the Installer folder, which is inside the folder with the version number of Edge. Here is the file path that demonstrates the whole process:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\87.0.664.75\Installer
The setup.exe file we’re looking for should be in the Installer folder. After navigating through this file path, open the administrative level PowerShell session. To open PowerShell, go to File Explorer, tap on the File option and then click on Open Windows PowerShell. Next, click on Open Windows PowerShell as administrator option. This will open PowerShell in the current folder with administrative privileges. Finally, at the PowerShell prompt, enter the following command:
.\setup.exe –uninstall –system-level –verbose-logging –force-uninstall
This command will uninstall the Edge browser from your Windows 10 computer.
