This is meant for the graduate candidates who want admission for the management courses in MBA institutions. In this article, We will discuss the difference between IIFT 2022 and CMAT.

CMAT

The CMAT question paper is in MCQ format. For 2022, NTA has revised the exam pattern for CMAT. The examination includes 100 questions divided into 5 sections. The sections are further classified into the following subjects.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship was introduced as an optional subject in 2021; however, it is mandatory this year. There are 20 questions in each section. Each question carries 4 marks, and there is a negative marking for CMAT. For each incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted. The language medium for the paper is English. The MCQ questions are presented with four choices. Candidates can switch between sections during examination.

At BYJU’S Exam Prep, candidates can prepare for MBA examinations with its dedicated test quizzes sections. It also has an exclusive section for MBA specific Test Series, Preparation Guidance, Doubt Resolution, Free mock tests, Practice set papers, and model sample papers for the candidates.

IIFT 2022

IIFT is conducted by NTA for selecting candidates for its Delhi, Kolkata, and Kakinada campuses. The NAAC accredited institution focuses on international business and general management programmes. It is conducted in Computer-based Testing mode (CBT).

The candidates who have graduated from any recognized college with a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years in any discipline with 50 percent aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) can apply for IIFT.  Moreover, candidates appearing in their final year graduation examination are also allowed to apply. They can submit the passing certificate later.

The subjects included in IIFT 2022 are Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation, Quantitative Ability, and General Awareness. IIFT is different from CMAT as the scoring pattern also differs in the sections. Three marks are awarded for the sections namely Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, and Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation. However, for the General Awareness section, 1.5 marks will be awarded for every correct answer.

There is negative marking for each incorrect answer. Furthermore, 1/3rd of the total marks for the question will be deducted in case of wrong answer. The total paper is 300 marks. There is no sectional time limit for the candidates.
