When it comes to being savvy while shopping online, it is often a wise idea to go through some internet reviews for good measure. Doing so will help you get a feel for the product’s quality and authenticity through the use experience of other shoppers.

That said, some of these online product reviews, especially those on big shopping platforms like Amazon, can be downright hilarious. Seriously, some of the Amazon comments and reviews are so funny that they could become an entire genre of comedy.

You’d be surprised at the number of websites, forums, YouTube channels, and social media pages that thrive exclusively on posting viral-worthy product reviews, comments, and testimonials. Some have even been transformed into stress-relieving memes, videos, GIFs, photos, and whatnot.

The tale of leggings that rose to the challenge

Sometimes it’s what you don’t expect from a product that really makes for a funny story. One eager US shopper by the name of Cory H. took to Amazon to share her hilarious review after she tried a brand new pair of leggings she bought from the online retail and was thoroughly impressed.

As asserted by the LA-based Sanctuary Clothing, a solid pair of leggings should be not only stretchy and comfortable but also stylish, fit snugly, and easy to wear & style. However, one American shopper Cory H. decided to subject her new workout pants to a whole different challenge and was extremely pleased by how the pair of leggings rose to the occasion.

The American shopper with a great sense of humor decided to take her new pair of leggings for a test ride in the form of a hike up the mountains. Too bad for Cory H. The sides of the mountain were too steep, and she was too afraid to walk down the trail as usual.

Instead, she resorted to sliding and slipping down the sides of the mountain to reach the bottom. While falling down a steep mountain is in and of itself a meme-worthy situation, it is the fact that the leggings stood up to the formidable challenge that made for a hilarious review she posted on the Amazon product page in July 2020.

Cory H.’s review was just another drop in Amazon’s sea of reviews until it resurfaced over the weekend when social media user Emmy posted a screenshot of it to Twitter with the caption: “I think about this twice per week.”

As of publishing, the Twitter post in question has accrued well over 403,200 Likes and more than 38,600 Retweets on the platform. It has also been quoted on Twitter close to 1,500 times, appearing on major news websites and platforms.

Cory H.’s Amazon review of the RAYPOSE Women’s Yoga Running Capris Leggings currently sits at the top of the Customer Reviews section. And, as of writing, more than 18,736 Amazon users have upvoted it as being “helpful” on the retail website.

The 5-star rated review left by the pleased user carries an exciting and urgent title “Order them now.”

“Can I just say that I will be reordering them in every color,” wrote Cory H. about her $13.99 purchase of a pair of purple Capris leggings.

The American hiking fan couldn’t hide how impressed she was about the leggings’ quality, durability, and ripping resistance, so much so that she declared her plans to purchase the pair in every color available.

That’s not all, though. She adds, “Here is me rolling and sliding down a mountain because I was too scared to get up.” And to back her thoughts, Cory H. uploaded a couple of photos of herself rocking the purple pair of leggings while she slid down a mountain and lay down on the rock face.

The buyer admitted she was too scared to walk the steep side of a mountain herself and had to slip and slide to the bottom.

 “My leggings did not rip, not even a little bit and I got stuck on rocks and trees,” reassures Cory H., adding to the hilarity of the pictures.

Many Amazon shoppers who ended up purchasing the pair of leggings couldn’t agree more with Cory H.  “These Raypose leggings off Amazon are exactly as good as the lady in the reviews says. Glad I bought five!” posted one happy Kimberly R. Kelly.

Over on Twitter, the majority of users who saw and commented on the tweet noted that the review itself was super-funny and that Cory H. should be entitled to a life-supply of the gym pants due to the branding reach and free advertising her post generated.

“Same energy,” replied Twitter user @milknuggett, drawing parallels between it and another equally hilarious Amazon review of NYX Professional Makeup left by a Texas shopper identified as Sofia.

Some users were sold then and there, including Twitter user @JoeDoolittle, who commented: “The pic[ture] with her lying there with her face in the rocks is what really sells these leggings for me. I’ll be buying [them] in every color as well.”

Others were quick to acknowledge her and make a light moment of the review. A case in point is Twitter user @Rae_209 who joked: “What a public service this review is. Not all heroes may wear capes, but most of them do wear leggings.”

“People who provide pictures on Amazon are the BACKBONE of society,” asserted user @kayla_skr2.

Needless to say, this is one unforgettable, laugh-out-loud Amazon review that will leave a big grin on your face and lift your mood, which is good for boosting your mental health.
