Rich in grime and violence that is an intrinsic part of the crime thrillers on OTTs, Abhay Season 2 thrives to add meat and bones after shocking us with the bloodshed. The latest in the list is of pulling it off on the ZEE5 is Abhay 2, written and directed by Ken Ghosh, featuring Kunal Kemmu in the lead role, the show is made in two seasons, and we currently have the second part in the offering. Let us see what Abhay 2 is all about.

Stuffed with action and driven by crime thriller

Kunal Kemmu has a strong build and enacting Abhay’s role is icing in the cake for him. Given the rustic character he portrayed, his physique and body language suited the tee. Kunal Kemmu returns with more exuberance to encounter the supervillains.

Writer-director duo Ken Ghosh offers little by way of memorable images. It issues from a reverence for the dramatic extravagance of a crime thriller.

Story

The first episode sets the pace for a gripping thriller right from the word go, as we are quickly led into the killer’s dark mind. NO-nonsense theme avoids the brainstorming over the concept. Inspired by true events, the crime thriller revolves around Abhay Pratap Singh, a sharp investigating officer with the mind of a criminal, who can go to any extent to solve a case.

Abhay 2 has some of the best performances we have seen, with the cream of the crop being Abhay Singh as a police officer. The first three episodes are out, and Kunal Kemmu shines in whatever he’s given.

Briefing about the Ram Kapoor’s surprise ride on the journey of Abhay 2, the promo is just a glimpse. The character is going to leave the audience stunned. He has no name. He is like an unsolved riddle, an extremely mysterious psycho killer/super-villain.

Chunky Panday has transformed from the funny Aakhri Pasta of Housefull series to a slouched man who is ready to kill at the drop of the hat. He plays a double-faced serial killer named Harsh in the Ken Ghosh directed web series

Including the stellar cast Sandeepa Dhar, Elnaaz Norouzi, Asha Negi, Nidhi Singh, Raghav Juyal, Asheema Vadaan and Bidita Bag contributes an equal amount of skills in spectacular roles they play.

Overall, Inspired by true events, Abhay 2 gets more engaging as challenges keep coming back in new forms and faces for the UP-based sleuth. With the slick pace and neo-noir treatment, the series holds promise for another round of action and you won’t be able to look away when evil comes searching.
