The wearing of wristwatches is associated with the positive habits of punctuality, regularity, hardworking, and driven. These items are also considered a symbol of maturity and reflect the personality of the individuals. Their dial is usually made up of glass and thus, is vulnerable to scratch or other sorts of damage. They are secured by using proper luxury watch boxes. These containers are available in a number of sizes, shapes, styles, and designs. Mostly a window is added in their structure to make them more appealing to the customers. The beautifully colored and designed encasements are considered pivotal in raising the display value of the items.

Avoid wearing bracelets:

Different types of bracelets are worn by both men and women as it is a trendy fashion these days. These bracelets or chains are usually made up of silver, gold, or other substances like this. Hence there is an obvious risk that if they come in contact with the surface of the watch, it would create certain scratches that would be extremely difficult or almost impossible to be removed. This phenomenon would create great stress to the users as watches are expensive items that are packed in luxury watch boxes, and sometimes they are given as gifts on special occasions. In any case, any damage to this item would result in huge psychological stress. Therefore, if any person wants to put on a band or bracelet on the hand, then it must not be on the same hand where the watch is present to avoid any sort of damage to the item.

Keep it away from extreme temperatures:

Watches are highly liked by all the people regardless of their gender, age, social conditions, financial conditions, etc. But still, they are of special significance for men because they wear it on various formal as well as informal occasions or events as an essential item. The dressing is considered incomplete without wearing these items. The watch boxes for men are able to preserve the items inside from the extremes of external temperature. The very high or very low temperature might cause some sort of scratches on the watches. It is because there is a liquid placed inside the dial of the watch. If the temperature of the surroundings is too high, then the liquid might boil and cause the glass to burst. On the other hand, if the temperature of the external environment is too low, then the liquid would freeze that causes expansion inside the dial and then it would break the dial or at least form a number of scratches and damage the display.

Take it off during playing activities:

The retail shop owners pack the wristwatches in cardboard watch boxes to save the product from any sort of damage while on the display shelves or general usage of the item by the customers. But once they are out of the container, it is up to the users to take care of their stuff. People usually like to go out for sports on their off days. It is always advised to take these items off while playing cricket, football, or any other activity like this. Similarly, some people have a passion for climbing rocks or trees. The wrist watches must not be put on during such adventurous activities.

Protect from fragrances:

Fragrances or scents are usually applied on special occasions to enhance the effects of the personality. The wrist watches must be taken off while using perfumes. The chemicals of the perfumes might react with the surface of the watches. Most of these items are not water-resistant and hence if the liquid seeps into the dial, then the item might be damaged.

Keep them away from magnets:

It is a scientifically proven fact that electromagnetic forces or rays are emitted from a number of electronic devices like laptop computers, televisions and other goods like these. These electronic forces are considered harmful for the wristwatches because the radiations might disturb the electronic component of the device and result in the formation of scratches. Hence, it is highly recommended to keep them away from electronic devices having magnetic effects.

Store in dry places:

When the watches are not in use, they must be stored in proper places by putting them in proper watch boxes packaging. They must be stored in such places that are dry and free from any sort of humidity or dampness in the atmosphere. Other than that, the place must also be free from any sort of major variation in the temperatures of the surrounding environment. In this way, the watches can be protected from scratches or grazes.

Often cleaning:

It can easily be seen that there is a lot of dirt and dust in the environment. When the watches are exposed to such environmental conditions, they become dirty. These dirt particles might stick on the surface of the chain and dial of the watches. After a sufficient period of time, if they are not removed, then they become permanent stains. In this case, the force will be required for cleaning that might result in scratches. Therefore, in order to avoid such worse consequences, the watches must be cleaned regularly. It must be taken care of that the material used for cleaning must be soft and does not damage the material during rubbing. Wet tissue papers should be used initially as they would not harm the item. If that does not work, then some sort of soft fabric can be used for this purpose to made sure that watches are free from scratches.
