5 Ways to Transform Your Teslas Interior

If you’ve recently been driving, you’ve definitely noticed that Teslas, especially the model 3 and Y, are more prevalent than ever. It’s challenging to distinguish out from the competition when Tesla only offers 5 paint options and 2 interior colour options. We’re going to alter that in this two-part series, and I’ll show you a few methods to personalise your Tesla, beginning with the inside.

Chair Covers

The first thing I did was use these Taptes custom-fit seat coverings to transform the white colour of my seats into crimson. They come in more than 15 various colours, may be ordered in Nappa leather or Artificial leather, and cover both the front and rear seats. The design mimics the OEM appearance of the Tesla but has perforated central parts to keep the seat warmers functional. The installation process only took me around 30 minutes to complete for the whole vehicle. These hooks and straps that run below the seats are used to secure them in place once they are simply slipped on. As you can see, they fit wonderfully and their coverings are scarcely noticeable. The added padding makes it seem more comfortable than the original seats, and the craftsmanship is outstanding. An armrest cover is furthermore included. These are a fantastic method to both personalise your interior and save your original seats from deterioration. Since installing them, my interior has seen a significant shift, and I’ve received several comments on them. They are available for all Tesla models, including the S and X, if you’re interested.

Covers for the centre console and dashboard

HILLS Model 3 and Model Y Dashboard and Centre Console Covers

The next approach to update your interior is by using these HILLS dashboard coverings to alter the appearance of your centre console and dashboard. Tesla only provides two inside colour options: white or black. However, with the HILLS coverings, you may choose between up to five different genuine wood colours, including walnut, maple, Black Ash, Ebony, and

Purple Heart.Or you can have them in actual carbon fibre for a sportier appearance.

Although they also come in a gloss, I have the matte carbon fibre coverings. These choices are available for the dashboard, centre console, and, if you own a gen 2 model 3 or y, the door panels as well, which completes the style and unifies everything. Simply wipe up your original dashboard, centre console, and door panels, then peel off the backing of the replacement covers and set them on top of the original, pushing firmly down to ensure they are secured. The covers can be installed in about 5 minutes. The carbon centre console cover has a key card holder, which is a lovely touch. These coverings quickly improve and preserve your interior. These covers are of the highest calibre, come with a 2-year guarantee, and feature polyurethane coatings and UV protection.

For Tesla, purchase HILLS dashboard and centre console covers.

Specialised Steering Wheel

Tesla Model 3 and Model Y Tesla Market Custom Sport Steering Wheel

When you upgrade your seats and dashboard, the interior is completely transformed, but let’s go one step further and also upgrade the steering wheel. The factory steering wheel is, in my view, a little dull, so I decided to upgrade to this custom carbon fibre sport wheel by Tesla Market, which transforms the standard circular wheel into a livelier wheel with sport grips, a flat bottom, and contains genuine carbon fibre and Perforated Leather. Additionally, if you’re feeling insane, you can have it in the famed Yoke style or this amazing fighter aircraft style. The wonderful thing about them all is that you can completely customise them. For example, you may choose ordinary leather or Alcantara in 7 different colours instead of perforated leather.

The stitching is available in six different colours, and you can even convert the Tesla logo to carbon fibre. The wheel is available in ordinary, regular carbon fibre, or forged carbon fibre in both matte and gloss finishes and five distinct colours. Simple installation involves taking off your old steering wheel, moving the airbag and its components to the new one, and then mounting it to the vehicle. You may even incorporate the option for a heated steering wheel on the new one if you already have one. These steering wheels not only look great, but their ergonomic shape also improves grip and driving comfort. For a sizable discount, use the website below and my code MS.

Swivel Screen Mount

The following suggestion is more for functionality than for aesthetics, and it involves installing a swivel mount to your screen so you can see the screen more clearly while driving and feel safer and more comfortable. I have the older model, but the current one also allows you to tilt the screen up and down. By adding this mount, you can tilt the screen left or right. I didn’t think this upgrade would make much of a difference, but after experiencing driving with the infotainment screen tilted towards me for the first time, it completely changed the experience and made it feel more individualised and like I was in a cockpit, a similar sensation to driving the Corvette C8, which also has the infotainment screen tilted towards the driver. Although installing it required some patience, it wasn’t too difficult. I prepared a YouTube video on the installation process, which you can see here. You may receive a sizable discount on this item, which is also from Tesla Market, by using the link below and my code MS.

Ambient LED Lighting

Kit for LED Ambient Lighting for Model 3 and Model Y by Tesla

The most recent modification I made to my interior was to install ambient LED lighting to the front and back of the vehicle, which adds a lovely touch for nighttime driving. Similar to the standard experience in new BMW, Audi, and Mercedes vehicles, as well as in the majority of Kia, Hyundai, and other manufacturers. The lights not only look great, but they also make driving more relaxing. Your dashboard, centre console, back seats, and all four footwells now have lights. Through a Bluetooth app on your phone, you may alter the lights’ colour to whatever shade you choose, as well as their brightness and lighting pattern. To the rhythm of the music you play in your Tesla, you may set them to static, flash, fade, pulse, and even dance. You can see a whole video I prepared on these lights, complete with instructions for installation, here. Both the Model 3 and the Model Y can use these lights. Although I realise this one isn’t for everyone, you can still acquire them by clicking the link in the sentence below.

Final Reflections

As you can see, these enhancements dramatically changed the look of my inside and allowed me to personalise and differentiate my Tesla from other models. This was just Part 1; in Part 2, I’ll show you some great ways to customise your outside. If you don’t want to miss Part 2, make sure you’re subscribed to our channel. All of these improvements and more are available at Tesla Market. Please let me know which improvements you prefer, and if you have any other suggestions, I’d love to hear them.
